Our Story
Regina and Alissa, co owners of Salon Six Eight Five, first met as assistants in the beginning of their careers which they soon realized they both had the same work ethic, which included passion for hair and drive for success. After two decades of being behind the chair and a full clientele, it was time to embark on a new adventure together. Regina and Alissa decided New Jersey would be the perfect place to cater to their clients that had moved out of the New York area to enjoy a more suburban life in beautiful New Jersey. With the love for the Shrewsbury, Red Bank area and all it’s charm they found the perfect location, 685 Broad Street, which soon became the name and home of their first salon. They shared the vision of a sophisticated and chic, yet home-y environment to work and provide a luxurious salon experience for clients.
MEET THE TEAM
Regina
Regina Tuzzo is a colorist / stylist and co-owner of salon six eight five for the past 20 years she has used her expertise and hair care to provide quality service to her clientele.
Regina’s passion is fueled by staying in the know of all the latest styles, continuously educating herself and perfecting her talent working with many companies such as Wella, Redken, and Unite, just to name a few.

Regina has also worked on a freelance basis for Ford Modeling Agency creating hairstyles for fashion shows and photo shoot’s/ She’s a certified extension specialist for great length and Dream Catchers for 10 years. Regina has a love for doing bridal hair creating timeless brides and bridal parties for their special day.

Since opening her own salon, Regina has hosted multiple talks in training sessions for students in beauty school. Her goal is to empower stylist to launch their own careers and to promote quality training for professionals in the industry in her own professional practice. Regina aims to provide her clients with a welcoming experience and hairstyles that leave them glowing with confidence.

Alissa
Prominent hair artist and salon co-owner, Alissa Rose, has always believed that working in a positive, warm and welcoming environment helps contribute to an amazing end result. Alissa believes in creating a team that can give each client their own personalized experience and look. Throughout the course of 20 years behind the chair she has traveled for professional training at the Sebastian headquarters and is well versed with in global brands, such as Schwartzcopf , Wella, and Peter Coppala.

Alissa loves challenging herself at Salon Six Eight Five. Her fun loving manner creates a comfortable environment, while her dedication to her craft is unsurpassed. Alissa takes into consideration the latest fashion trends, clients skin tone, and eye color so she can create a look that is specific for the individual as not all styles are right for everyone. Alissa’s trustworthy and honest persona translates to every aspect in her life, which in turn brings a fresh and authentic vibe to Salon Six Eight Five. Education is a constant for staff as well as clients. Alissa believes In building an environment that educates clients on hair care and new techniques to increase their knowledge so they can maximize on their individual look.
Elyse
Creative , versatile and passionate about her craft, Elyse has established herself as a highly respected and skilled hairstylist over the past 10 years. She credits her wide range of exposure and education as the two biggest keys to her success. Her bubbly personality and laughter are infectious. Elyse’s analytical skills , innate creativity and focus on the customer experience consistently results in thoughtfully unique and flattering cuts , plus the perfect color and detailed extension work. When leaving Elyse’s chair you will always feel your most beautiful version of yourself.

Dana
An incredible master stylist with over 12+ years of experience, Dana is a certified Wella and Redken master colorist . Dana is proficient in custom cuts, color corrections and specializes in lived-in color , balayage and foil work. Dana wants her clients to love the salon experience as much as she does, and has created signature techniques that are personalized to each one of her clients , which always results in happy customers who can’t wait to come back for their next appointment. Dana provides a full consultation before each new client’s service to ensure the understanding of her client’s needs . She understands communication is key to a successful salon experience. Her mission is to provide the highest quality of costumer service to each and every person who sits in her chair.
Nicolette
Having been in the hair industry for 6 years, she has extensively trained under creative directors Regina and Alissa. She is well versed in Wella, Schwarzkopf, and Redken color , and certified in Bellami Hair Extensions. She recently attended the Redken Symposium learning the newest and most wanted looks and techniques. She is most passionate about lived-in color, blondes and extensions. Her perfectionism shines through in every client she touches. When in Nicolette’s chair you will always leave looking & feeling your best!
Amanda
Having started her career in 2015, after assisting for 6 years, Amanda is now a full time stylist and has joined the salon 685 family. Amanda’s specialties are blondes and lived-in color. She is Bellami extension certified, and skilled in a variety of services, including up-dos, makeup artistry, women and men’s haircuts. After attending the 2023 Redken Symposium , Amanda continues to be inspired by the latest trends and techniques in the industry. She always makes sure the all of her clients leave feeling like the best version of themselves.
Jackie
From a young age, Jackie knew she was destined to work in the beauty industry! She couldn’t resist the urge to braid her classmates hair and always had the knack for styling her own. She then went on to earn a cosmetology license and continuing her journey here at salon 685. Her goals for her apprenticeship are to cultivate a wide array of skills and gain various techniques, to craft the most beautiful hairstyles, that support each individuals’ unique needs.
Haley
Our most seasoned apprentice here at salon685, Haley earned her cosmetology license by attending a vocational high school program. She has since earned her associates degree in business. Surrounded by 3 generations of hair stylists and close friends in the industry, it’s safe to say that for Haley, beauty is in the blood! She continues to gain a wide range of knowledge and education during her intensive training under our creative directors. She will continue to blossom into one of our most in-demand stylists, thoroughly crafting a variety of services, perfectly tailored to everyone of her clients.
